9th March 2006 - Day 143

I think I must have been blowing my nose too often during the few days I had flu. I felt giddy after typing the entry yesterday.

It was just as bad this morning. I didn't feel like waking up at all. I wonder what triggered off the dizziness.

But it got better once I got out. By the time I reached the lab venue, I felt quite normal.

The lab got screwed up today because a particular instrument went kaputt. All the readings recorded were incorrect. But since this was a machine fault, the Betreuer gave us the values from last year's Protokoll.

What a relief. I thought we have to repeat the experiment and wait for another hour. We were able to finish the lab report by 1130.

I bought 2 single use camera (maybe disposable wasn't the correct term) yesterday after my Prüfung. It's at a special price of 2 for 8,95€. But the weather doesn't seem to be cooperating. It has been raining the whole day. The kind of weather which makes me feel like hiding in hostel. No pictures taken as of yet even though the camera has flash capability.

I went out again in the evening after the rain stopped. Although it was quite windy, it wasn't cold at all. Temperatures hit double digit again after a sudden dip 2 weeks back.

A bad record stays forever. Vivek burnt a toast and made the whole floor smoky. An hour later, I was in the kitchen when Jörg came and asked me why is it that I always manage to make the floor smell so nice with all the burnt stuffs.

He was visibily disappointed when I told him he nabbed the wrong Auslander this time. I see it appropriate to add in that wicked laugh after I told him it couldn't always be me, even though he already doesn't look very pleased that I appeared so smug about it.

It was at the very least amusing to me. Aren't assumptions great?

So, more creative ways to make an "ass" out of "u" and "me".
