2nd March 2006 - Day 136

As I was brushing my teeth this morning, I heard a familiar sound.

The last time I heard it was sometime in January when it snowed. It snowed quite heavily last night. Today, everything's covered in white again.

But not for long. As the temperature is hovering around zero degree Celcius, the snow melted once the sun came out.

Lab today was still manageble. We thought it would end earlier as it seemed to be a short experiment about particle filtration using sieve trays. But they purposedly labeled a particular tray wrongly so that they could demostrate how the width of the pores in the sieve is measured using a "high tech" equipment, as said by the Betreuer.

It was more like a statistic lessons about determining the Mittelwert and Varianz of the sieve pore size. But still, it was quite interesting to see how it's actually done.

I realised today why the hairdresser speaks with a funny tone. She's from Hungary. She was talking to her daughter on the phone when I overheard her. At first I thought it was some dialect which I could not understand. She told me it was Hungarian.

It snowed again in the afternoon. But the snow looks like little moth balls. There were lightning and thunder as it snowed. Never seen that before.

I'm feeling sleepy now after taking the little yellow pill. My nose is runny. More water, more rest.

So, bedtime.

Yeah. I don't like the snow now. It's not fluffy like in January. It melts the moment it lands on any surfaces. My coat is getting wet from all the snow. An umbrella doesn't help too.
