3rd March 2006 - Day 137

Due to the sleep inducing effect of the little yellow pill, I went to sleep early yesterday right after reading up on the lab I will do today.

But I can't seem to remember anything about what I've read. The Betreuer asked me some questions which I couldn't answer. I could only understand part of what he asked.

I realised today, that things might not go on as smoothly as I want them to. Although I'm doing the labs, there exist a possiblity that I would not be able to transfer back the credits. The reason being that the highly efficicent administration here might not be able to rush out the necessary documents before I leave, despite having 8 working days as a buffer.

No worries. I can always request them to send it to me. But the nagging questions keeps popping out. Will they do it? What if the document gets lost? What if they took such a long time, that the new semester would have started and I still haven't transferred the credits for the module?

The absolute worst thing that can happen is that I will waste my time here doing all the labs and reports but unable to transfer credits back. And end up doing the corresponding module back home.

Relax. That doesn't sound that bad.

I met Autumn at the Mensa during lunch. After which, we went to the supermarket for some grocery shopping.

The snow became rain as I was making my way back to hostel. Then it turned back into snow. It snowed quite heavily for the rest of the afternoon, forming puddles of slush on the footpaths. Simply annoying.

I have been informed, that my request of wanting to get exploited has been approved (Yeah, it's a strange world. Lots of people actually want, and are waiting to get themselves exploited, to the delight of many institutes and Firmen). I have also been told that an interview awaits me. They will then assess me on my exploitability suitability for the task.

Alternatively, I can delay the exploitation and spend the time more fruitfully. That is also an plausible option which I should explore since I'm not really keen on research work.

So, I wonder why my left eye is twitching as I write all these.

Hey Rongjia~!!

Nurse well your running nose. Hope you are getting better by now. Ohya regarding the transfer of credits, I have to admit that it's super slow! I recalled my official transcript from Universtiy of Newcastle came like early August when in fact my exams ended on 3June. Anyway the ECE department back in NUS is fine with it after I explained the situation to them but luckily for me the modules that I'm taking in NUS does not require any pre-requisites that I had took during my SEP. For your case you might need to write in to ask or you can ask your department when you come back:) I'm sure NUS side will get things sorted out :)

Take care!

Thanks. I will get better.

It's a bit troublesome here to get my transcript. Getting confused by all the different things they say. I still have about 3 weeks to sort everything. It'll work out. Yup, think this module is not a pre-requisite, so that's a good thing too.

Ok. The Chinese version of Erkältungstee didn't work for me. Will try the German version...when I feel like going to town. Thanks for the recommendation!
