23rd November 2005 - Day 51

I woke up early today so that I could change my bed sheet and pillow case.

Although it can be changed once every 3 weeks with the Hausmeister, I've forgotten about it the last time round. So I had to wait for today. The urgency of the matter cannot be undermined. I've slept on the bedsheet for 50 days already!

Nan passed me his sheets because he missed his timeslot for changing bed sheet yesterday.

The Hausmeister only opens up the laundry room for 15 minutes from 0800 onwards. If I don't reach before 0815, I would have to wait for another 3 weeks. Not to mention the trouble of putting back my sheets and pulling it out again.

Did I mention that another reason that I wanted to change the bed sheet was because there's an unsightly stain on it? It's a brownish splash/blot, if you get what I mean.

I went down to the Studienkollege to get my certificate of participation for the German langauge course in October. To my dismay, I would have to wait until next Tuesday as the office would only be opened then.

It makes me wonder. If an office is only opened for 1 hour every week to students, what could the person sitting inside be so busy with? Then what do they do with the remaining of the office hours?

I was dozing off during lessons. I can't catch what the lecturers are saying. Maybe I haven't had enough REM sleep.

I was late for my Phonetic class because I had to wait for a certain file to print. In the end, I gave up wating and went for lessons. I collected my printings only after lessons.

I found out that another place was selling light bulbs at a price of 1.35€ for two. With one year guarantee too. Though I know where to get cheaper light bulbs, I don't want any more blown light bulbs.

Dinner was rice with Yeo's Chicken Curry which I smuggled into Germany. Funny, I remember it being saltier in the past. Could it be that the salty German food has done irreparable damage to my tastebuds?

According to a reliable source, at a certain Asiamarkt here on Barbarossaplatz, NTUC stuffs are being verkauft. I shall make a trip down (maybe later this week) and see what do they actually sell.

So, I've to go and prepare for my lecture tomorrow, by sleeping early.
