22nd November 2005 - Day 50

I was quite dazed during lessons today.

My eyes were wide open. But I just couldn't pay attention. The words that came out of the lecturer's mouth made no sense to me.

The temperature this morning was slightly below zero degrees Celcius. Most of the water puddles I see usually are now frozen. I don't like it. Water on the ground makes it slippery when it freezes. I can't walk as fast as I usually would for fear of slipping and knocking myself unconcious.

Ok, it's not that serious. That's a little irrational.

My Bahncard finally arrived in the mailbox. I think I should make a trip down to kündigen the card soon so that they don't automatically assume my membership next year and charge me for it.

I just bought a new Glühbirne for 1.29€. Lower initial cost but higher running costs - it's only 2.1% efficient. 97.9% of the electricity used is converted to heat to warm up my room. The current one has died on me when I switched it on this morning.

I definitely need the light bulb since the days are getting shorter. The sun sets about 2 minutes earlier than the day before until the Winter Solstice on 21st December, which also marks the start of winter.

Yes, you get to eat Tang Yuan on that day (冬至). If I didn't remember wrongly.

So, I shall do some reading when there's still light.
