14th November 2005 - Day 42

I slept at 0530 in the morning. And woke up at 1230. Originally had a lunch appointment with Autumn at 1200. So that didn't happen.

After 6 weeks of reluctance to part with my money, I finally gave in to Techniker Krankenkasse. Surrendering my bank account details to them meant that a sum of 56.62€ will be deducted from my account monthly. In return, they promise that they'll take care of my medical expenses (in the unfortunate event that I should fall sick) by just paying 10€ for a visit to the doctor's.

LASIK for 10€? Possible? Anyone knows?

Leider....LASIK is considered a cosmetic surgery in Germany. Which means that the normal Krankenkasse won't off-set the cost of the operation.

Then I made my way down to the isolated corner of the university to clarify some issues regarding one of my modules here. Hopefully, the professor will make some exceptions. But if he doesn't. Too bad for me and my weekends.

Largely a wasted Monday. Hey, I seem to be wasting all my Mondays away!

So, time for some planning to prevent a wasted Tuesday.
