13th October 2005 - Day 10
Wanted to wake up early today to do my german homework. Instead, I overslept. But I was quick enough to finish my homework with the help of the online dictionary.
Left at 0840 but because the Straßenbahn came a bit late, I managed to reach before 0900. Lessons was boring as usual. But I guess I'm understanding a bit more everyday. The progress is slow, but hey, at least I'm not stagnant!
Lessons ended early today at 1145 as the Lehrer hat etwas zu tun. I walked around the Ettlinger Tor area before going for lunch.
After lunch, I went to the Rechenzentrum to check my email. I went grocery shopping again. This time round, I bought washing powder, some biscuits, chocolates, bread, cheese and coffee (the soluble kind).
I feel like a squirrel sometimes, constantly stockpiling on food. But then again, squirrels have lousy memory. They lose half their food storage for winter because they forgot where they left it!
When I got my to hostel, I opened my mail to see that the Deutsche Postbank sent me a letter. Since I had no telephone line here (I might not understand what they are talking about anyway), I went down personally.
It turns out that, because I haven't got my Aufenthaltserlaubnis, I can't open a bank account. So guess I'll have to wait until the 9th of November. Meanwhile, I shall drink water and eat grass until the day comes.
The Vorlesungsverzeichnis for the Winter Semester 2005/06 is finally out online. Hopefully, the modules that I mapped last year are still being offered.
So fast. The weekend's coming soon. Maybe it's time to roam about.
