30th January 2006 - Day 105

Lessons in the afternoon. The morning felt like a weekend.

I received an email informing me that the Professor would only conduct the mündliche Prüfung on a certain day. After that, he'll be on his way to some other place.

Which means I have to prepare for two exams on the same day. How exciting. Two totally unrelated field of studies.

The afternoon lecture was not very helpful. Two students were asking lots of questions which I did not understand. This probably shows how prepared I am for the module.

Language ability today is almost non-existent. I am quite sure that there is a certain switch that has to be tripped by some activities I do in order to unlock the Speak-German-With-Relative-Ease mode. I can hardly make myself understood otherwise.

While I was cooking dinner, Jörg came over and thanked me for helping to paint the kitchen yesterday. That was quite unexpected. Probably because not everyone wanted to do the painting.

Fridel, the Bierminister, came and collected the money for drinks as it is the end of the month. I paid 0,60€ for a bottle of beer that I drank some time earlier. Come to think of it, I don't remember paying for the beer I drank in November and December.

This is really convenient. Especially when you forget to pick up drinks at the supermarket. There's Cola and Apfelsaft available too.

So, maybe a bottle of beer is all I need to trip the switch.
